Short Bio

Nguyen Thi Thu earned her bachelor’s degree in Metal Forming from Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2009. She then pursued and obtained her master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Material Engineering from the same university in 2011 and 2019, respectively.
Currently, she is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, the
School of materials science and engineering, HUST. Her research focuses on Forming techniques, including Sheet metal forming, Tube forming, Bulk forming, Micro forming, and Advanced forming such as hydroforming, hydromechanical forming, hydrostatic forming, heat forming, warm forming. Currently, her research group is exploring the application of machine learning and deep learning technologies in materials science, including the use of generative AI for material design.
